I added the fire sleeve around the wires that go through the firewall.
Apparently the wires at the back of the oil temperature probe are prone to break so it is a good idea to add some RTV around them to minimize vibration.
I finished up wiring the PMag. I pulled an extra 2 wire shielded coax cable through from the panel incase I want to add a PMag monitor (E Commander or ???) at a later date.

I added heat reflectors to the exhaust system and added safety wire to all the hose clamps- surprising how many hose clamps there are...
I also worked on routing the various wires and cables including adding more adel clamps.
I added a standoff to keep the manifold pressure line from chaffing.

First task today was to add the exhaust hanger. The hanger is fabricated using hose, aluminum tubing and pipe clamps to allow some flexing.
I also added more adel clamps for routing the sensor wires to the engine.

Sometimes simple looking tasks take more time than you would think. Today I had to attach some Adel clamps. Here are the tools used. My favorite is the one that looks like vice grips with extensions. It is used to clamp the adel clamp shut and the ice pick is used to align the holes in the adel clamp.
Here is the target of all those tools- the heat muff which is hung on the engine mount.

The exhaust system is amazing and amazingly it all fits together. Beautiful welds, complicated bends and it all bolts up to the engine easily. Great job Vans!
